  44. 11/99 - Instructions for purchasing the latest version of Adobe Acrobat (4.05) with bug fixes and Macintosh "missing plug-ins" are available from the Adobe web site.
  45. 10/99 - Creativepro provides its Preflight Online service for free. It will check a PDF file for a number of attributes, primarily to verify its suitability for pre-press. Errors are supported with extensive Help documentation.
  46. 10/99 - Xtsreem Software releases their 3.0 version of Data Management Application (DMA) software. The upgrade provides a means to retrieve data from any database and populate PDF forms.
  47. 10/99 - Cardiff Softwares has introduced the pricey but powerful PDF+Forms (1.0) software which extends Acrobat 4.0 forms capabilites for the Windows platform.
  48. 9/99 - Mekon Book-to-PDF plugin for Adobe FrameMaker 5.5.6 enables the user to generate multiple PDFs from a FrameMaker book.
  49. 9/99 - Macintosh users can download Adobe's free, simplified "Create Adobe PDF" Utility from the PDF Zone website. It requires use of AdobePS 8.6 printer driver and Acrobat 4.
  50. 9/99 - Shlomo Perets of Microtype has published a PDF guide called "Conversion of FrameMaker 5.5.x Cross-File Links to Acrobat."
  51. 9/99 - Vision Work has published four PDF workflow documents online: Basics, Management, Creation, and Production. Also available in German. Can also be viewed on-line without Reader via Adobe Document Server.
  52. 8/99 - New MAC OS Acrobat Plug-ins (Betas) are now available for download. These plug-ins provide features missing in the original distribution of MAC versions of Acrobat 4. FAQ document is available.
  53. 8/99 - New PDF search engine features have been added to the free Atomz search service. Try it for the word "Universal" using our search box at left .
