Separation Plug-in
A significant indicator of the technical maturity of the
PDF format for performing pre-press and automated workflow
is the availability of a plug-in for Exchange that allows
the user to make color separations from PDF files. The name
of the plug-in is "Crackerjack®."
A fully-functioning demo version of the plug-in is available
for unlimited trials (it prints the word "Demo" in the
middle of each page it prints). The product sells for $495
and is available at the Lantana
Research Corporation website.
